Preston Hones Half-BacksAs part of the ongoing pre-season CRFU lecture series, former All Black half-back and now Sky Sports analyst, Jon Preston, took an hour out of a busy schedule to give an outstanding masterclass on the art of playing at nine to a group of twelve young Christchurch half-backs at Malvern Park on Monday March 30th. A skilled communicator, Preston, who will be coaching Burnside Colts this season,delivered a series of simple messages around passing, kicking and running with a sense of clarity and purpose that kept the group completely engaged from start to finish.
