Midweek Competition August 12thAfter knocking at the door for the past couple of seasons, Riccarton HS finally established themselves as the top-dogs in the Senior Boys division after an exciting 17 - 11 victory over the side that has dominated the competition for the past four seasons, Aranui HS. Elsewhere, the all-conquering Papanui girls completed a clean sweep of the Senior Girls competition with a 20 - 0 win over St. Margaret's and Marian College did likewise in the Girls Tens with a 50 - 0 win over Riccarton. Also in the girls competitions, Lincoln HS won the Senior Girls Shield and Cathedral College won the Girls Tens Shield. In the Boys U60kg competition Lincoln HS won a 53 - 48 thriller against Rangiora with a try in the last minute to take out the Cup and Cashmere HS beat Middleton Grange by 29 - 25 to win the U60 Shield.
