Rangiora Takes Burnside Tens

In blustery conditions at Burnside Park, Rangiora HS A beat the winners of the Senior Boys' Midweek competition Riccarton HS to take the Senior Boys' Cup at the end-of-season tens tournament. With support from R80 and 24/7 the event produced some great end-of-season rugby from the mid-week competition schools.The Plate competition was won by Hillmorton High School who beat Middleton Grange in a very close final and the Bowl went to the Rangiora HS B team who defeated Mairehau HS by one point in twenty nine. In the Under 70kg section there was a repeat of the Midweek fifteens final with Kaiapoi defeating Papanui in a hard fought contest. Rangiora HS beat Cashmere HS in the Plate final and Riccarton beat Ellesmere College in the Bowl Final.
