Papanui Wins Girls TensThe multi-talented Papanui Girls side beat St. Margaret's in the final of the CRFU Secondary Schools Tens tournament at Burnside Park to maintain its unbeaten run against secondary schools and make it a clean sweep of trophies this season. Lincoln HS defeated Marian College in the final of the Plate competition and Villa Maria edged out a rapidly improving Rangiora HS in the final of the Bowl. A record entry of sixteen teams is a reflection of the continued growth of girls rugby in the Canterbury region. Player of the day was Langi Veaieu from Papanui.
