College win pre-season quadrangularThe Christ's College 1st XV hosted Nelson College, Southland Boys' High School and King's High School in a pre-season Quadrangular Tournament on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th April. On day one, Southland Boys' beat Nelson College 24-21 to advance to the final and College beat King's High School 75-0. In the third and fourth play-off Nelson were too strong for King's High School and in the final College did just enough to beat SouthlandBoys' High School 22-20. Fullback Marty McKenzie was a standout performer for College. Other notable performances were also had by first five,Tim Murgatroyd and loose forwards Tyler Koning and Nick Grice.
