Ellesmere College and Cashmere HS in Midweek ThrillerEllesmere College beat Cashmere HS by 33 – 29 in a 9 try cracker in round two of the Midweek Senior Boys competition. Elsewhere Aranui beat Boys’ High and Linwood defeated Area Schools at Kaiapoi RFC. In the Boys Under 70 kg section Papanui HS beat Lincoln HS and Kaiapoi HS beat Middleton Grange. In the Year 9/10 grade there were wins for Cashmere HS, Lincoln HS, Rangiora Green and Riccarton HS. Papanui continues to lead the way in the Senior Girls competition with a 40 – 12 win over Girls’ High. Avonside beat Lincoln HS by 20 – 17 and Burnside beat Rangi Ruru by 20 – 0.
