St. Bede's vs Roncalli Match Report - May 22ndSt. Bede's College beat Roncalli College 48-3, to gain a bonus point and therefore extend the gap btween themselves and fourth placed Nelson College, who beat Timaru BHS, but without scoring four tries. Bede's controlled the game and scored some good tries in the process, but were largely frustrated in their attempts to keep the ball alive by a Roncalli team that clearly preferred a stop-start, set-piece arm-wrestle. For St. Bede's, backrowers Carl Jeffs and Ila Lamositele scored two tries each, with Moses Faletolu, Matt Comyns, Zac Southen and Hagen Schulte scoring one apiece. Zac Southen and Hagen Schulte both kicked two conversions each. For Roncalli, Daniel Dorgan kicked one penalty.
