100 Games for Rangiora High School 1st XVTwo players celebrated 100 games for the Rangiora HS 1st XV over recent weeks. Jed Williams and Alex Kennedy are both in their third season with the team and have racked up their 100 games in a very short space of time. The school side has played in numerous tournaments, hosted many touring school sides and competed in the Combined Country U18 competition for the last three seasons. In 2008 the side played 37 games, in 2009 a mammoth 42 games and so far this season 32 games. Both players also add representative fixtures to their already heavy game load, playing Nth Canterbury U19 and 18 this season. Both are part of the Canterbury Country training squad and hopeful of making the final cut. Both boys are tremendously fit athletes and are a key part of the success of the 1st XV over the last two seasons. They are dominant figures this season having spent three seasons playing U18 rugby and have bright futures in the game.
