NZ Rugby Passport Clubs

As a part of the NZRU Rugby World Cup legacy initiatives, rugby clubs around New Zealand were given the opportunity to register and be a part of the NZ Rugby Passport during the Rugby World Cup. The main prerequisite for clubs to participate was that the majority of RWC games were to be played in the club and they were to host at least one main club event.

Participating clubs were issued with their own personalized passport stamp, along with passports to provide to their visiting tourists, with the intention of those tourists moving around to visit other clubs across the country, and stamped at each club they visited – Over 57,500 passports distributed across the country.

Of the 103 clubs participating across NZ, Canterbury had five clubs involved – Belfast, Southbridge, Christchurch, Diamond Harbour and Sydenham.
