Rugby Smart - Catch Up SessionFor those members who missed Rugby Smart in their region there will be a catch up session on Monday 22nd March at 6.00 pm, HSOB Rugby Club, Ayr Street, Riccarton. If you cannot make this session please contact Lyndon McKendry,lyndon.mckendry@crfu.co.nz . Remember that Rugby Smart is compulsory for all referees. Please contact Scott if you have any gear enquires and he will help you if he can. Could all referees who have Oranges jersey please return them to Scott or drop them at CRFU office. Working Bee - Saturday 27th MarchMembers are urgently required for a working bee on Saturday 27 March from 9.00 am to 12 noon to catalogue the containers holding the fixtures and fittings from our former clubrooms. The more members available to help the quicker the job can get done - there will be jobs for everyone as the containers need to be emptied, the stock catalogued and photographed then repacked into container. The containers are located at Pacifica Shipping, Chapmans Road, Heathcote. From 7th April the sessions will be at Rugby Park, Malvern St each week. All sessions start at 6.30 pm. These sessions are open to ALL members so get along and have a go - its more fun to train with others than by yourself! RecruitmentNew members are needed so if you know of anyone interested in refereeing make sure you bring them along to the first meeting in your region. Remember that for those people who work on Saturdays there are games to be refereed during the week, particularly the Mid Week Schools competition on Wednesday, and the appointments officers are always on the look out for referees for these games. CBHS Rugby Festive - Easter WeekendReferees and Assistant Referees are needed for the annual CBHS festive which is being held over Easter, games are on Good Friday, Saturday and Easter Sunday. If you are keen to be involved please contact Tony Yurjevic on email tony_y@clear.net.nz You Make The Call - Secondary School Students refereeingThis year's course is being held at Hornby RFC from 13th to 15th April (2nd week of school holidays). The number of credits available for those fully completing the course have increased to 11 level 2 NCEA credits. If any CRRA members have family or friends interested in taking part in the course, the application form is available from Lyndon McKendry, lyndon.mckendry@crfu.co.nz. Places will be limited so get those applications in as soon as possible, the closing date is 31 March. Got a Heatpump? Want a Heatpump? Here's a fund raiser for CRRANova Systems are looking to help out the Canterbury Rugby Referees Assn and have the following offer available to referees, coaches as well as their friends and family. For every heat pump that is purchased through Nova Systems, $100 will be donated to the CRRA and for every maintenance that is carried out $10, will be donated . The cost of the maintenance is $85.
