South Island Secondary School Girls' Tournament

The South Island Secondary School Girls’ Tournament was held at Christchurch Boys’ High School this week, with some excellent rugby played by all four competing teams – Canterbury, Hanan Shield, Otago and Southland.
The teams played a round-robin over the 3 days of the tournament, and were treated with a visit from two of our local Black Ferns on Tuesday night – Casey Robertson and Kendra Cocksedge, for a question and answer session.
Canterbury finished overall winners, with 3 wins over their 3 Southern counterparts – Hanan Shield, Otago and Southland.
